Government of Canada Grants $227,500 in Funding to Alphinat Inc. for International Commercialization of an Advanced Software Application

MONTRÉAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Feb. 23, 2011) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of State for Canada Economic Development, today announced the awarding of $227,500 in repayable funding to Alphinat Inc. Granted through the Business and Regional Growth program, this financial contribution will be used to market and export Alphinat's SmartGuide software application. The firm is looking to commercialize its product in Europe and the United States.

"Canada Economic Development is eager to support innovative firms such as Alphinat that are looking to break in to foreign markets. These efforts help lay the foundations for sustainable economic prosperity in Canada," explained Minister of State Lebel.

Montréal-based Alphinat Inc. offers a development platform which allows for the construction of user-friendly self-service web applications by businesses and public organizations. Its innovative software solution is making quicker, real-time development and easy updating a reality.

By allowing Alphinat Inc. to further its international business development, this project will help the company secure its growth over the coming years and thereby consolidate Canada's worldwide reputation as a breeding ground for innovation.
