TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 3, 2011) - Forbes & Manhattan (Coal) Corp. (TSX:FMC) ("Forbes Coal" or the "Company") announces that it has appointed Kudakwashe Muchenje as the Vice President – Exploration & Development for its Africa Operations.

Mr Muchenje is a seasoned exploration geologist with over 15 years experience in the generation of exploration targets and management of exploration and evaluation programmes. He has worked within a wide variety of commodities and countries, and has been exposed to leading global practices through senior roles in a major global mining company. His international exposure has given deep insight into the global minerals industry.

Most recently, Mr Muchenje was Country Manager (Mozambique) for a large international mining company. In this role, Mr Muchenje was responsible for managing the exploration and evaluation of large mineral sands resources in the country. He was also involved in the generation of coal exploration targets in Mozambique and Southern Africa. Mr Muchenje holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Geology and Mineral Exploration, respectively.

Mr Muchenje brings to the Company a strong understanding of the entire value chain of minerals projects, in particular the role that ore-body knowledge plays. He is a firm believer in team work and works well with related professionals in mining, processing and management.
