Kalia Inc. Receives $263,000 in Funding From Government of Canada for International Commercialization of Kitchen and Bathroom Products

SAINTE-MARIE, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - March 7, 2011) - Acting on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of State for Canada Economic Development, the Honourable Maxime Bernier, Member of Parliament for Beauce, today announced the awarding of $263,000 in repayable funding to Kalia Inc. through Canada Economic Development's Business and Regional Growth program for the implementation of a major marketing strategy in the United States.

Founded in 2007 by David Poulin, Bruno Raby and Marie-France Poulin, three former directors of the multinational corporation MAAX, Kalia Inc. marks the beginning of a new adventure for these visionaries and seasoned business professionals. They intend to achieve their goals by using their vast network of contacts, investing in research and development and focusing on their competitive advantages: bathroom and kitchen products and accessories of innovative and distinctive design.

The financial assistance from the Government of Canada will enable Kalia Inc. to set up a major distribution network anchored on key players in the decorative plumbing

industry. The company intends to assemble a solid sales force to help it position itself strategically in such markets as, among others, the north-eastern United States.
