Wolf Greenfield Names Technology Specialist and Patent Agent; DiPietrantonio, Ph.D., Specializes in Biotech Patents, and Rudoy, Ph.D., Specializes in Computer and Electronics Patents

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - March 15, 2011) - Heather J. DiPietrantonio, Ph.D., recently joined Wolf, Greenfield & Sacks, P.C., a Boston intellectual property law firm, as a patent agent, and Daniel G. Rudoy, Ph.D., joined as a technology specialist.

A member of Wolf Greenfield's biotechnology group, DiPietrantonio works with clients filing patents in genetics, molecular biology, developmental biology, and immunology. Previously, she was a scientific advisor and patent agent with Frommer Lawrence & Haug, LLP, in New York City.

A graduate of Skidmore College, she received her Ph.D. in genetics from Harvard University. She did her postdoctoral work at Columbia University, where she employed molecular and genetic tools to investigate retinal axon growth and guidance mechanisms in the visual system.

She is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

A member of the firm's electrical and computer technologies group, Rudoy works with patents for inventions in signal processing, speech recognition, software, networking and electronics.

Rudoy previously worked at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, where he developed target-tracking, multi-sensor fusion, and discrimination technologies for radar and electro-optical infrared systems. While pursuing his Ph.D. in electrical engineering at Harvard University, he carried out research in speech and audio signal processing, computational statistics, and time-frequency signal analysis.

Rudoy received the U.S. National Science Foundation and National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowships and the Atwater Kent prize for distinction in master's thesis research. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and is fluent in Russian.
