SRS Meets Major Milestone for Government Certification of Its Productivity-Focused Meaningful Use EHR

MONTVALE, NJ--(Marketwire - March 17, 2011) - SRS, the leader in productivity-enhancing EHR technology and services for high-performance specialty practices, today announced that its EHR has received modular certification by the Drummond Group, an Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ATCB) of the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The SRS EHR is now certified for 18 of 32 modules. Once SRS completes the certification process in the coming months, providers will be able to use its EHR to successfully demonstrate meaningful use and qualify for the EHR incentives offered under ARRA.

"This acknowledgment by Drummond Group represents a major milestone in our progress toward certification as a complete EHR, which will allow our physicians to successfully pursue the full EHR incentives," says Evan Steele, CEO of SRSsoft. "We are very encouraged by the fact that we have met more than half of the requirements so early in the year, well ahead of schedule. This is a testament to the talented and dedicated SRS development team and confirms our commitment to supporting the interests of our physicians."

According to Steele, "SRS has cracked the code on productivity-focused meaningful use. Our approach to data collection and reporting is unique in the EHR industry, enabling physicians to satisfy the meaningful use measures in a highly efficient manner, while simultaneously increasing productivity practice-wide."

This EHR Module is 2011/2012 compliant and has been certified by Drummond Group, an ONC-ATCB approved to certify any complete or modular EHR (both ambulatory and inpatient), in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services or guarantee the receipt of incentive payments.
