Pethealth Inc. Partners with the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals

State Leading Animal Welfare Organization Joins Leading Pet Insurance Provider to Offer Comprehensive Co-Branded Insurance

OAKVILLE, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 4, 2011) - Pethealth Inc. ("Pethealth" or the "Company") (TSX:PTZ), the second largest provider of pet health insurance in North America, and the leading provider of management software and RFID microchip technology to animal welfare organizations in North America is pleased to announce it has signed a strategic agreement with the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals ("Pennsylvania SPCA"). Expanding on its existing relationship with Pethealth, Pennsylvania SPCA will now offer Pennsylvania SPCA Pet Insurance, a comprehensive line of co-branded pet health insurance packages covering accidents and illnesses for dogs and cats.

Pennsylvania SPCA is the second oldest animal welfare organization in the United States, completing over 10,000 adoptions each year through six adoption centers in addition to leading investigations into animal cruelty throughout Pennsylvania.

"Pethealth has long been a steadfast partner of our organization so it was only natural that we would continue to work together toward implementing our own pet insurance program," says Susan Cosby, CEO of the Pennsylvania SPCA. "Through Pennsylvania SPCA Pet Insurance, we will be able to offer new pet adopters and pet owners in our community superior value for pet insurance without limiting coverage based on breed or a benefit schedule. It is a fantastic program and we are confident in its ability to meet the needs of Pennsylvanian pet owners."

Policy holders will have the opportunity to choose their monthly premium and deductible levels for the same comprehensive program. In addition to offering blanket-limit coverage, senior pets are also eligible and premiums will not increase with age. Policies will be available to dog and cat owners in Pennsylvania through the five Pennsylvania SPCA adoption centers and their neighboring veterinary clinics. In addition to distribution through these locations, the program will be promoted to the Pennsylvania SPCA database of volunteers, donors, and members via e-mail, visitors to the Pennsylvania SPCA website, hosted events, social media, and local television networks, namely NBC10 and Fox29, in conjunction with the Pennsylvania SPCA's regularly scheduled appearances which occur on a weekly and monthly basis.

"The Pennsylvania SPCA has a long history of dedicated service in the animal welfare community and we have tremendous respect for their organization," says Mark Warren, President and CEO of Pethealth Inc. "In our experience, pet insurance not only helps mitigate the cost of expensive veterinary care but also helps reduce the number of animals surrendered to shelters by pet owners who can't afford it. It has been a great pleasure to assist their efforts in creating Pennsylvania SPCA Pet Insurance and we look forward to our continued mutual success."

Pennsylvania SPCA Pet Insurance will be available for free quotes and purchase online at www.pspcainsurance.com or by phone at 1-877-275-7387, with discounts available for volunteers and staff in animal welfare.
