TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 6, 2011) - Galantas Gold Corporation  (TSX VENTURE:GAL)(AIM:GAL) (the "Company"), the AIM and TSXV quoted explorer with a 100% interest in Ireland's only operating gold mine, has arranged to engage an Investor Relations Consultant, Mr. Courtenay Heading, for a period of 6 months from 5^th April 2011.

A dedicated sales and marketing specialist, Mr. Heading has been, since 1985, a Director of four private companies during the development stage of their businesses. He has marketed engineering and services companies throughout North America and Europe. He is based in the Isle of Man, British Isles and has been a shareholder in the Company as a private investor since 2002.

Mr. Heading will co-ordinate and carry out investor relations activities for the Company, including presenting at several up-coming Investment Trade Shows in North America. Mr. Heading will communicate with investment dealers, advisers and shareholders (current and prospective), to increase awareness of and interest in the Company.

The anticipated compensation is £5,000 per calendar month plus expenses, a total cost of £30,000 plus expenses. In addition, Mr. Heading will be granted options of 500,000 common shares at 10¢ per share, within the Company's share option scheme (the "Options"). The Options will vest in equal quarterly instalments (in arrears) over a period of one year from the date of appointment and will have a two year life from the date of appointment. The appointment is subject to TSXV approval.
