Media Advisory: Move the World AIDS Expedition


VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - April 14, 2011) - On April 18, 2011 the German non profit, "Move the World AIDS Expedition" will launch its latest public education expedition. Vancouver is the first stop on their journey to travel the world in 100 days spreading awareness of HIV/AIDS issues.

A convoy of five vehicles, led by German AIDS campaigner Joachim Franz, will drive around the world in 100 days. A dozen men and women will cross five continents to spread awareness of HIV/AIDS issues. The team will follow a large "W" shaped route across the world map. They will travel through North, Middle and South America, Europe, Africa and Asia and cover some 65,000 kilometres.

Prior to the team's departure from Vancouver, journalists are invited to attend a special press conference hosted by Volkswagen Canada.
