Corporate Partner Cal Smith Joins King & Spalding in Atlanta

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - Apr 15, 2011) - William C. (Cal) Smith, one of the leading corporate lawyers in the southeastern United States, has joined King & Spalding as a corporate partner in its Atlanta, Ga., office, the firm announced today.

Smith joins King & Spalding from Troutman Sanders, where he was a partner in the corporate department. He handles a broad range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, securities matters and corporate finance transactions. Smith also advises clients on U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission reporting and disclosure requirements, corporate governance and compliance matters. Chambers USA named him one of the leading corporate/M&A lawyers in Georgia. He received his undergraduate education at Wake Forest University and earned his J.D. degree from Emory University School of Law.
