FatPipe Networks Is Granted a Patent for Its SmartDNS Technology, Providing Dynamic Load Balancing and Automatic Failover of Inbound Internet Traffic

SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwire - Apr 20, 2011) - FatPipe Networks™, the inventor and multiple patents holder of WAN optimization, redundancy and security products, announced today that it has successfully secured an additional U.S. Patent, No. 7,877,510. This is FatPipe's eighth patent for multiline WAN transmission technology. The Patent protects the methods, configured storage media, and systems provided for resolving domain names into IP addresses in a path sensitive manner. The IP addresses given in response to domain name resolution requests are selected to provide increased reliability and/or dynamic load-balancing over multiple paths. This technology is known as FatPipe SmartDNS. The patent was issued on January 25, 2011.

"FatPipe's pioneering SmartDNS is the most comprehensive and robust technology for seamless failover and load balancing of inbound Internet traffic. SmartDNS is used by companies that require high levels of redundancy and speed to provide access to their internal servers -- such as web, and thin client -- from outside their networks," said Ragula Bhaskar, Ph.D., President and CEO of FatPipe Networks.

FatPipe's intellectual property includes seven other U.S. Patents in the field of multiline redundancy and load balancing technology: No.
