Kodak to Demonstrate KODAK PRINERGY Digital Workflow and EFI Fiery Controller Connectivity at EFI Users' Conference

ROCHESTER, N.Y., April 26, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Print service providers attending EFI's users' conference, EFI (Nasdaq:EFII) Connect, will learn how real-time connectivity between KODAK (NYSE:EK) PRINERGY Workflow and EFI Fiery® Controllers can create a single workflow to serve blended production environments, reducing operational costs and boosting production performance. The technology demonstration will show that connecting PRINERGY Workflow and Fiery Controllers can help to drive higher levels of production automation and increased job control.

"Centralized production control by a single workflow helps our customers to increase production efficiencies and minimize errors," said Barry Quart, General Manager, Business Solutions and Services, Americas Region, Kodak. "This technology demonstration with Fiery Controllers represents another step in PRINERGY Workflow's evolution as a true unified workflow solution."

Attendees will see live JMF connectivity and job scheduling, submission and tracking directly from PRINERGY Workflow to an EFI Fiery Controller. Connectivity between PRINERGY Workflow and Fiery Controllers delivers the ability to drive output to the most suitable device for the job, while providing connectivity and reporting of job processing to the broad range of EFI controllers and the presses they support. Nick Benkovich, Worldwide Director of Integrated Solutions and Technologies, Business Solutions and Services Group, Kodak will be participating in a number of educational sessions on workflow integration and automation.

"With a record number of print industry leaders attending EFI Connect, it's the perfect place to show off industry leaders in prepress workflow and digital print controllers now working together," said John Henze, Vice President of Fiery marketing, EFI. "PRINERGY Workflow to EFI Fiery Controller connectivity will help print service providers meet increasing demands for short-run jobs and faster turnaround."

EFI Connect takes place April 26-29, 2011 at the Wynn in Las Vegas.
