Rydex|SGI Announces Launch of Dorsey Wright & Associates' New ETF Models

Partnership to Provide Full Slate of Financial Advisor Outreach and Training

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - May 3, 2011) - Rydex|SGI, a leading provider of innovative ETF and alternative investment solutions, today announced the launch of two new Dorsey Wright & Associates' (DWA) ETF models. DWA is an independent registered investment advisory firm well-known for its technical research and analysis capabilities.

The new DWA models -- Rydex Global Equity and Rydex Sector Rotation -- rely on Dorsey Wright's "Dynamic Asset Level Investing" (DALI) process, a tactically-driven, multi-asset allocation methodology. The models feature the popular Rydex S&P 500® Equal Weight ETF (NYSE: RSP) and include a combination of the firm's equal weight and pure style ETFs.

Dorsey Wright will be hosting a national webinar with Rydex|SGI on May 4 to help educate advisors on the model's methodology and to demonstrate the resources available to advisors.

"Through our dedicated salesforce and advisor education outreach, Rydex is committed to helping advisors use ETFs effectively within their practices," said Carl Resnick, managing director of exchange traded products at Rydex|SGI. "Helping investors navigate volatile markets is key to an advisor's success. We believe advisors will benefit from the option to add these Dorsey Wright models to asset allocation strategies."

Recognized as a leader in the technical analysis space, Dorsey Wright's relative strength methodology has long been a vehicle for advisors utilizing both funds and ETFs. Rydex|SGI's CurrencyShares, equal weight ETFs, and pure style ETFs are all available as part of a select group of investments used in the execution of the Dorsey Weight tactical portfolio models.

"Our goal with Rydex|SGI is to help advisors and investors take advantage of the unique benefits of ETFs," said Tom Dorsey, co-founder of Dorsey Wright & Associates. "ETFs' trading flexibility and our asset allocations flexibility are an excellent combination."

Beyond the national webinar in May, DWA is planning two regional financial advisor seminars to be held in June in Seattle and Baltimore. Those sessions will feature a discussion of the models and available Dorsey Wright resources, a trading session featuring Knight Capital, and an educational overview of the Rydex suite of ETF products.
