Rev2 Extends RiskView(R) Concentration Analysis (RCA) Engine With Reporting Application

VALHALLA, N.Y., May 2, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Rev2, the leading provider of next‐generation risk management solutions, today announced availability of the RiskView® Reporter application, a powerful addition to the RiskView risk management framework and visualization engine. RiskView Reporter automates the tasks associated with creating standardized tables of analyzed results.

"Our clients asked for a tool that would provide them with easy, actionable reports," said Lou Steinberg, CEO of Rev2. "RiskView Reporter delivers on that request."

RiskView Reporter Features

RiskView Reporter accesses the power of the RiskView's Risk Concentration Analysis (RCA) framework. Features of the new application include row level filters, grouping by vectors and text strings, and sorting groups, enabling RiskView customers to rapidly identify the greatest concentrations of material risks.

In interactive mode, RiskView Reporter lets the user select existing views of risk data and generate actionable reports. These reports are created in industry standard XML, which is easily imported into spreadsheets and databases. Once a report is defined, it can also be accessed in batch mode. Batch mode extends RiskView Reporter's automation by providing zero‐touch report generation. The information can be emailed to one or more recipients on a regular basis, automating processes even further.

In addition, RiskView Reporter introduces a new feature called Group Filters. With Group Filters, entire groups of vulnerabilities can be included or excluded based on the requirements of individual members. For example, a service provider might run a report of devices or technology release that impacts outage risk. With group filters, the service provider can exclude (or include) entire groups if the item in question was recently repaired or upgraded. This automatically creates and delivers a weekly focused report of the top 10 items requiring maintenance.

New RiskView API

RiskView Reporter leverages a new Application Programming Interface (API) to the RiskView engine. The API is designed to let Rev2 and its partners quickly access the powerful analytics and classifications contains in RiskView. The first Rev2 partner to leverage this interface is IDV Solutions (Lansing, MI; http://idvsolutions.com).

With its Visual Fusion product and the RiskView API, IDV Solutions is creating a multi-dimensional data visualization solution for a major financial institution, which will visualize risk data over time. "We are excited about Rev2's new interface which enables products like Visual Fusion to access and extend the power of RiskView," said Mark Morrison, CEO at IDV.  "We look forward to rapidly delivering value to our mutual customers."
