Celebrated Entrepreneur and Philanthropist Red McCombs Named to the Board of Directors of Cinsay, Inc. Following a Significant Equity Investment in Austin-Based eCommerce Technology Developer


AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - May 10, 2011) - Celebrated Texas businessman, philanthropist and sports team owner Red McCombs has joined the Board of Directors of Cinsay, Inc., the Austin-based new technology company whose proprietary portable web-based video player eCommerce platform has attracted agreements with a wide range of national and international business brands. McCombs' appointment to the Cinsay, Inc. Board of Directors comes following a strategic investment in the company by McCombs Family Partners. The announcement was made by Christian Briggs, Cinsay Founder and Chairman of the Board.

The company also has announced the formation of a dedicated health/beauty/skin personal care subsidiary called Cinsaytions which already has numerous celebrity contracts in place, including those with Montel Williams, "The View's" Elizabeth Hasselbeck, and Supermodel and TV host Kim Alexis.

Red McCombs is a one-of-a-kind Texas businessman, philanthropist and sports team owner whose golden touch is legendary and which landed him on Forbes magazine's list of the Top 400 Richest Americans in 2005. Founder of the Red McCombs Automotive Group, a co-founder of Clear Channel Communications, a former owner of the San Antonio Spurs, Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Vikings, McCombs is as much a philanthropist as successful businessman and is the namesake of the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin (McCombs' alma mater), following his endowment to the university of $50 million.

Born in Spur, Texas, McCombs attended Southwestern University and the University of Texas at Austin. Following his marriage to Charline Hamblin in 1950, McCombs began to sell cars at a dealership in Corpus Christi. He moved to San Antonio in 1958, where he created Red McCombs Automotive, one of the world's most successful automobile dealership conglomerates. He entered the energy industry in the 1950's, founding Houston-based McCombs Energy, then expanded his business interests to include real estate development and broadcasting, when he co-purchased a radio station in San Antonio which grew into what is now Clear Channel Communications. He is former owner of the San Antonio Spurs and Denver Nuggets NBA teams, as well as the Minnesota Vikings NFL team. In 2010, McCombs announced his financial backing for bringing Formula One racing to Austin, Texas through his support of Tavo Hellmund and Full Throttle Productions, LP.

He is the recipient of the Texas Legend Award from the Texas Automobile Dealers Association and has been honored by the American Academy of Achievements, San Antonio Business Hall of Fame and San Antonio Sports Hall of Fame, the Texas Business Hall of Fame and The College Football Hall of Fame. He recently received the Celebrity Fight Night's prestigious Humanitarian Award. He received honorary degrees from Southwestern University, the University of Texas at San Antonio and Texas Lutheran University.

McCombs served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Southwestern University and Chairman of the University of Texas' M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
