Gaming Standards Association an Industry Partner at the Gaming Technology Summit

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - May 17, 2011) - The Gaming Standards Association (GSA) is leading the technology conversation around the world. As such, GSA is drawing on the industry experts among its members to host two days of top-level panel discussions at the upcoming Gaming Technology Summit.

"GSA is proud to be an industry partner at the Gaming Technology Summit," said GSA President Peter DeRaedt and added, "We are pleased with the outlook for this year's talks and panel discussions. Last year's event brought together top-experts within the gaming industry, and we got a chance to listen in depth to CIO leaders in our industry present their challenges and vision. We can expect this year to be even better, because the technologies that are shaping our industry are changing rapidly."

Gaming Technology Summit takes place May 23-25 at the Green Valley Ranch in Las Vegas, and GSA-related topics fill the agenda. On Monday, May 23, the conversation begins with "Innovative Products," an in-depth discussion where leading manufacturers talk about their newest products driven by GSA standards. Later that day in the session, "Industry Collaboration: Addressing Today's Technology Challenges," GSA members lead a discussion about the challenges that new technology can present along with implementation, trends, and best practices on and beyond the casino floor.

Tuesday, May 24, begins with a panel discussion comprised of key operators who will discuss how GSA standards can be utilized to respond to the needs of operators and how operators can influence technology and innovation in the gaming industry. Later that afternoon in "GSA Certification: A Help or a Hindrance?" manufacturers take an in-depth look at the GSA certification process, procedures, and final result, as experienced by members of GSA who went through the process.

Tuesday continues with a CIO Roundtable, wherein top technology officers discuss their strategies for surviving in today's marketplace and share their outlook on the gaming industry, and the panel "How to Migrate to GSA Standards" will help operators clearly understand what is involved in migrating their floors to GSA standards so that they can take full advantage of the innovative products that are driven by GSA standards. The day ends with "Overview of Testing Labs," where attendees will learn the benefits of using a GSA-accredited testing lab.

GSA operator members may receive a $400 discount off the full conference registration fee by entering code GSA2011 when registering online at www.gametechsummit.com.
