ShareThis Continues Audience Growth in April comScore Numbers, Names VP of Product

Sharing Leader Reaches More Users Monthly Than Google, Facebook, AOL; Continues to Grow Revenue, Staff

PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwire - May 24, 2011) - ShareThis, the world's largest market for sharing and influence, today announced that it tops the list of distributed content media networks for the second month in a row with more than 176 million unique visitors, according to April 2011 comScore data. Additionally, ShareThis continued to increase its revenue and strengthen and expand its team with the addition of Barry Grant as the new VP of product, as well as increasing its sales footprint across the country.

  • Staff has grown by 50 percent, reaching more than 50 employees this quarter;
  • ShareThis continues to expand their sales teams, with the hire of Giorgio Campo, Regional Midwest Director, in Chicago and several recent additions to the New York sales team, rounding out its national coverage for the company;
  • Revenue continues to grow each quarter, with 100 percent growth quarter over quarter.

Barry Grant comes to ShareThis from Brightroll where he led the product organization for the last three years, driving the development, launch and evolution of the Brightroll Exchange, their self-service online video advertising marketplace. Prior to his time at Brightroll, Barry spent two years at PayPal where he oversaw several risk management product programs, focusing on improving PayPal's consumer initiatives and the eBay buyer experience. Barry will bring his product development experience and expertise to ShareThis where he will play an instrumental role in the development of products to bring more value to advertisers, publishers and consumers.
