IAGC Launches Geophysics Rocks Website at 73rd Annual EAGE

VIENNA, AUSTRIA--(Marketwire - May 24, 2011) - The International Association of Geophysical Contractors (IAGC) announced today that it has launched a new website, www.geophysicsrocks.com, following an International debut at the 73^rd annual European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) conference and tradeshow in Vienna, Austria. The launch is part of a global communications initiative announced in November, 2010.

The new site was unveiled to thousands of attendees when more than 20 participating IAGC members played a dynamic video touting the benefits of geophysical technology simultaneously during the opening night reception at the EAGE conference. The video was then made available for download via 2D barcode, in every booth that aired it. The new site provides information on how the geophysical service sector utilizes seismic and other geophysical technologies to enable safe, smart and productive oil and gas extraction to occur with a more complete understanding of the conditions in the earth's interior, all while reducing risk. IAGC intends that the site will become a key resource for those wanting to have a better understanding about the geophysical industry.
