HALLOWELL, ME--(Marketwire - May 24, 2011) - Granite Hill Estates (GHE), the Kennebec Valley's premier continuing care retirement community, will participate in the 3rd Annual Healthy Aging Living and Learning Expo. The event will be held on June 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at Spectrum Generations Cohen Center located at 22 Town Farm Road in Hallowell.

Jayne will lead a group of Granite Hill's Senior Athletes through a 30-minute demonstration of stretching and balance exercises, seated and standing, that enhance movements necessary for everyday living. The demo will comprise a warm-up with deep breathing; shoulder rolls forward and backward to release tension; seated knee lifts to work the hip flexors and promote balance; seated leg extensions to work the quadriceps; chair push-ups to work the triceps and promote balance; and cool-down with neck stretches for flexibility.
