14th Annual HR Technology(R) Conference Announces 2011 Program Details

The World's Annual Town Meeting for Experts, Learners and Everyone Who Cares About How HR Technology Can Solve Business Problems

PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL--(Marketwire - May 25, 2011) - LRP Publications, producers of major business conferences and publishers of Human Resource Executive®, today announced program details of the 14th Annual HR Technology® Conference and Exposition, which will be held October 3-5, 2011, at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Considered the largest and best HR technology conference in the world, this year's event will focus on three critical areas: Talent Management, Social & Mobile and Workforce Analytics & Planning.

One highlight is enterprise software vendor SAP's decision to debut its first SaaS HCM solution based on social technology at the event. Historically, the HR Technology® Conference has been the preferred platform for major vendors to introduce software. Last year, Oracle showed Fusion HCM for the first time outside an Oracle event; this year, the conference is pleased to welcome SAP.

The most contentious session is expected to be "The Second Annual Great Technology Debate," featuring two of the world's leading HR technology experts: Jason Averbook, co-founder and CEO of Knowledge Infusion, and Guru Naomi Lee Bloom, managing partner, Bloom & Wallace.

The Fifth Annual Talent Management Panel will include four vice presidents from world-class companies. Attendees will learn how these leaders are deploying radically new models of Talent Management to address the needs of today's mobile, virtual and global workforces. Among the conference's new features are the Candidate Experience Awards, which recognize companies that are delivering outstanding talent acquisition experiences to their job applicants.

The conference has a high percentage of repeat attendees, who come back year after year to network with their peers, view the latest innovations and meet with industry analysts. Forty-three world-class companies have attended at least six of the last eight conferences, including eight attending all of them.

Six industry analysts will host separate small group discussions and Q&A sessions based on their favorite subjects. Many more analysts and bloggers are expected from the 40 that attended last year.

The opening keynote will be delivered by John Boudreau, professor at the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business and Research Director for its Center for Effective Organizations. Boudreau will share "Transformative HR: How Your Organization Can Use Evidence-Based Change." The closing keynote, titled "Face-Linked 2020: The Social Network Changes Talent Management" will be presented by Jim Holincheck, managing vice president, Finance, HCM and Procurement, Gartner.

In addition to announcing the winners of the Candidate Experience Awards, the Human Resource Executive® Top HR Products of 2011 will be announced. Nominations for the awards are being accepted until June 13 and more information can be accessed at http://www.hreonline.com/HRE/hrproductnomination.jsp

Rochester Institute of Technology instructor and leading HR technology blogger, Steve Boese, wrote, "Every major vendor in the HR tech game is here. All the important trade publications, consultancies and independent analysts are around. And the number, quality and variety of receptions, parties and dinners are truly astounding. The event itself is well-organized, well-executed and everyone stays on-message."

"This will be our most exciting event in 14 years," said David Shadovitz, Conference Co-chair and founding editor of Human Resource Executive® magazine.

"Unlike other conferences, we never sell speaking slots to vendors," said Bill Kutik, Conference Co-chair and Technology Columnist for Human Resource Executive®. "This means all our content will benefit HR practitioners, not our bottom line. Our event is designed for busy HR executives and practitioners who need to get tech savvy and find the right solutions to their toughest problems in one place, at one time. If HR technology is your responsibility, your career or your problem, the 14th Annual HR Technology® Conference & Exposition is the place you need to be."
