Mr. Jean-Yves Lavoie, P. Eng., President and CEO of Junex, Resigns From the Strategic Environmental Assessment's Committee


QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - June 28, 2011) - Mr. Jean-Yves Lavoie, P. Eng, President and CEO of Junex (TSX VENTURE:JNX), announces that he is resigning from the Strategic Environmental Assessment's Committee regarding the sustainable development of Quebec's Shale Gas industry.

"After having participated in a few Committee meetings, I concluded that my presence could in some ways be in conflict. In order to not be harmful to the credibility of the Committee and in respecting all of its members, I decided to resign from my participation to this important matter" explained Mr. Lavoie.

Just as he had done during the process of the Bureau d'audiences publiques sur l'environnement (BAPE) inquiry last fall, Mr. Lavoie remains available, as an expert, for Committee requirements.
