Update on Finning Canada Ratification Vote Result

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - July 15, 2011) - Finning International Inc. (TSX:FTT) advises that its proposed collective agreement was not ratified by the hourly B.C. and Yukon employees of its Canadian division, represented by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers - Local 692 ("IAMAW").

"We are disappointed with the union's rejection of the company's fair and equitable offer," said Dave Parker, president of Finning Canada.

The company's proposed four-year agreement included annual wage increases of 4% in year one, 3% in years two and three and 4% in year four.

In view of this result, the current work stoppage in B.C. that began on June 22, 2011, will continue. Finning Canada has implemented a contingency plan to minimize the impact of the labour dispute on its customers. Equipment and parts sales will continue to be available to customers. Shop and field services will be unavailable during the course of the labour action.

Finning Canada is committed to the collective bargaining process and to concluding a fair and balanced contract that is equitable for its employees and for Finning.

Local 692 of the IAMAW represents approximately 700 hourly-paid Finning employees in B.C. and Yukon. Finning's Canadian operations in Alberta and the Northwest Territories operate under a separate collective agreement and are unaffected by this action.
