Second Festival d'ete de Quebec in New Richmond Receives Financial Support From Government of Canada


NEW RICHMOND, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - July 21, 2011) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, today announced that the Corporation de développement touristique de New Richmond has been granted $100,000 in non-repayable funding to promote the Festival d'été de Québec in New Richmond on domestic and foreign markets.

"This festival is a major tourism draw for the Gaspésie region. With this financial assistance, the Government of Canada is showing proof yet again of its determination to support regional tourism development across Quebec," said Minister Lebel.

This funding from the Government of Canada has been awarded through Canada Economic Development's Community Diversification program.
