Canadian Spirit Resources Inc. Announces Montney Well Completion / New Well at East Farrell

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Aug. 8, 2011) - Canadian Spirit Resources Inc. ("CSRI" or the "Corporation") (TSX VENTURE:SPI) (OTCBB:CSPUF)announces that the horizontal well located at c-45-I/94-B-1 in the Farrell Creek area in northeastern B.C. has been fracture stimulated and tested by Canbriam Energy BC Partnership ("Canbriam"), operator of the Farrell Creek Montney joint venture. Canbriam will tie-in this well to the Farrell Creek gas facility at a rate of approximately 1.5 mmcf/d. The tie-in will require a short lateral to be constructed as part of the existing gas gathering system. Construction has been initiated and should be completed by early September.

As previously announced (see News Release dated June 22, 2011), Canbriam has spud and is currently drilling a vertical well (12-7-83-24W6) to test the potential for natural gas liquids on its east Farrell Creek lands. The drilling and subsequent testing of this well is expected to be finished by early October. Other Montney operators in the immediate area have recently announced natural gas liquids ranging from 20 to 30 bbls per mmcf.
