Sionix Announces Completion of Micro-Flow MWTS

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 9, 2011) - Sionix Corporation (OTCBB: SINX), designer of innovative and patented advanced mobile water treatment systems (MWTS), announced today that it has completed the development and fabrication of a Micro-Flow MWTS that can be deployed as a testing and demonstration platform for pilot projects. In addition, the Micro-Flow MWTS is suitable for a variety of applications in many specialized vertical markets.

The Micro-Flow MWTS represents the latest addition to Sionix' expanding line of MWTS products. Designed for flow rates up to 50,000 gallons per day, it is a functional complement to the Sionix standard MWTS with flow rates of up to 400,000 - 600,000 gallons per day. The Company is also working on development projects to increase the flow rate capacity of its MWTS up to 1,000,000 gallons per day.

"In order to complete the design and fabrication of the Micro-Flow MWTS we made major scientific and engineering modifications to maintain the pressure and volumes necessary for the creation of our proprietary micro bubbles for flow rates as low as 500 gallons per day," said James R. Currier, Chairman and CEO of Sionix. "With the Micro-Flow MWTS we can quickly perform testing and are building a pipeline of pilot projects. Longer term, the product could open up opportunities with other low water volume users like car washes, gasoline stations, micro-breweries, trailer parks, small sub-divisions and public utility districts."

About Sionix Corporation
Sionix designs innovative and advanced Mobile Water Treatment Systems (MWTS) intended for use in energy, government facilities, healthcare facilities, emergency water supplies during natural disasters, housing development projects, and various industrial processes including subterranean fracturing used in oil and gas drilling. These systems are located adjacent to contaminated water sites thus reducing cost and toxic exposure and can be used to remove organic materials including oil, waste and other infectious bacteria from contaminated resources. The Sionix MWTS can also be used as a pre-treatment for reverse osmosis and other membrane applications. Industries involved in dairy, agribusiness, meat processing, mining, poultry operations, and many others can benefit from Sionix' cost-effective, easily maintained, portable water treatment systems. About Sionix Technology
Using a patented dissolved air flotation (DAF) technology packaged in a mobile shipping container, air bubbles between the size of 1 and 2 microns are injected and float organic contaminants to the surface where 99.95% are skimmed off, and a majority of inorganic contaminants are also captured and removed. This compares to standard DAF units which historically have been limited to using bubble sizes of 50 microns or larger. The size of these bubbles is important because the smaller the bubble, the greater the surface tension. They can then hold together longer and elevate more organic contaminants to the surface for removal.
