Beaufield Advances Schefferville Iron Exploration

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 10, 2011) - Beaufield Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BFD) has completed one month of field work on its 100% owned Schefferville iron property, Quebec. A total of 700 grab/chip samples have been taken and are being sent for assay of their iron content. The crews examined and described 356 outcrop locations on the property. The sampling survey was the first stage of follow-up on airborne and ground gravity anomalies associated with a low magnetic response. The targets are located within the Sokoman iron formation.

The Beaufield property consists of 883 claims covering 431.9 square kilometres in the central portion of the iron district. It is adjacent to and surrounded by the following operators: New Millennium Iron (TSX VENTURE:NML), Tata Steel Minerals, Labrador Iron Mines (TSX:LIM), Champion Minerals (TSX:CHM) and Century Iron Mines (TSX VENTURE:FER).

Some of the neighbours have announced imminent iron ore production from deposits located in close proximity to Beaufield. The field program identified roads formerly constructed by the Iron Ore Company of Canada that reach most of the Beaufield property confirming good access to the property. Good access is key to eventual development. Schefferville is located less than 10km from Beaufield's property boundary.

Beaufield has identified DSO (Direct Shipping Ore) type mineralization in at least 5 distinct areas. At one location the DSO horizon was traced for more than one kilometre. Beaufield's airborne gravity gradient survey suggests continuity at a number of locations.

A separate SEDEX zinc program was undertaken in the north western portion of the property close to Leroy Lake. A Quebec government lake bottom geochemical survey identified a series of highly anomalous zinc values. (5079, 4440, 4460, 5830 ppm zinc approximately ½%). To assist in determining the source of the zinc anomalies a total of 741 "B" horizon soil samples were taken at 25 metre intervals on 100 metre spaced lines place on prospective geophysical anomalies.

A continuation of the Schefferville fieldwork will be undertaken mid August.
