Carrie Arran Appoints New Director

CARRIE ARRAN RESOURCES INC. ("Carrie Arran") (TSX VENTURE:SCO) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Michael Byron as a director of Carrie Arran.

Dr. Byron has more than 25 years of domestic and international field and senior management experience in gold, base-metal, magmatic nickel-copper-platinum group elements, rare earth elements, diamond, and gemstone exploration, spanning employment within the mineral exploration industry, government, and educational institutions. He is a professional geoscientist registered with The Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario and holds several advanced degrees in Geology including a PhD from Carleton University of Ottawa, Ontario. Dr. Bryon is the Chief Geologist and a director of Merc International Minerals Inc. He is also a director of Druk Capital Partners and Brionor Resources Inc. Previously, Mr. Bryon has served as Vice-President of Exploration at Lake Shore Gold Corp. and Aurora Platinum Corp. Dr. Byron replaces Lewis Lawrick on the Carrie Arran Board.

This claim will add to Carrie Arran's land package in the area and facilitate its diamond drilling program, which is expected to start in the next month.
