OC's Coachella? Playground Festival and Blue Torch Entertainment to Bring Thousands of Music Fans to Hidden Valley


IRVINE, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 17, 2011) - Panic! at the Disco, Lil Jon, The Game, Big Sean, plus more than 20 other rock, hip-hop and electronic music stars and up-and-coming artists will be descending on Orange County for the premiere of the Playground Festival, hosted by multi-threat media star Nick Cannon. The eight-stage, two-day event will take place Labor Day Weekend, Sept. 3-4, at Hidden Valley, Irvine, Calif., next to the Verizon Amphitheater.

Among the artists performing on Day One are: The Game, Lil Jon, Shiny Toy Guns, The Cataracs, Too Short, Chiddy Bang, Mickey Avalon, Breakdown, Cisco Adler & The Pigeons, Street Drum Corps, Kid Ink, Heavy Grinder, Wicker and the Mighty Mojo Prophets. On Day Two, taking to the stages will be: Panic! at the Disco; Big Sean; The Bravery; Confide; Steel Panther; New Boyz; E-40; Liquid Stranger; Del, the Funky Homosapian; Kendrick Lamar; Fishbone; Kid Sister; YG and BTC. Combined, the performers have sold over 39 million records.

The Playground Festival has plenty more to offer in addition to its exclusive music line-up. There also will be a laser-tag arena, carnival rides, The SkullCandy and Oakley Experiences, Southern California's famous food trucks, a miniature golf course, live art shows and more. DJ and performer competitions will award winners with the chance to perform sets on the main stages.

For a limited time, attendees can purchase two-day passes for $100, day-of tickets are $125, single-day tickets are $65 for Sept. 3 and $75 for Sept. 4. VIP tickets are $125 for one day and $215 for both, and include access to a private entrance and parking with chauffeured transportation to the grounds, artist meet-and-greets and access to a backstage VIP section, front-row seating, fast-passes for all attractions, a VIP after-party and more.
