Kids in Motion at the Calgary Food Bank

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Aug. 17, 2011) - Determined YMCA kids hope to collect 13,000 pounds of food donations during the annual, multi-community Kids in Motion Food Drive for the Calgary Food Bank. Children in the free YMCA Kids in Motion program volunteer in meaningful community projects and recreational activities. They gain self-confidence and leadership skills, and learn the value of community responsibility while staying active and having fun.

WHO? Children from YMCA Kids in Motion program. Children aged 9 to12 years old will be dropping off thousands of food items to the Calgary Food Bank.

WHAT? YMCA Kids in Motion participants host their 12th annual Food Drive for the Calgary Food Bank with an ambitious goal of 13,000 pounds of donations.
