Sionix Signs Letter of Intent for the Sale of 2 Mobile Water Treatment Systems

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 17, 2011) - Sionix Corporation (OTCBB: SINX), designer of innovative and patented advanced mobile water treatment systems (MWTS), announced today that it has signed a Letter of Intent with ANA Global Corp. (ANA) for the purchase of two MWTS to be installed at a local government in Katsina State and at a Cooperative Housing Project in Abuja, Nigeria. ANA, headquartered in Fredericksburg, VA., is a multinational corporation that specializes in construction projects throughout West Africa and the Middle East.

The project will treat well and river water in a private housing development on approximately 172 acres that consists of 1,000 homes for the owners and their caretakers, a shopping center and a recreation center. The purchase price for each MWTS will range from approximately $1.2 million without desalination to approximately $2.3 million with desalination, excluding installation, start-up, commissioning and training, depending on specific site conditions and completed chemical panels. "Sionix MWTS are applicable to this project because we are providing drinking water and recycled water for a planned community in an overseas environment. This project is the first of several that we expect to partner on with ANA Global," said James R. Currier, Chairman and CEO of Sionix. "A definitive joint venture is currently being negotiated to include additional projects in Nigeria and several neighboring countries in West Africa including Ghana, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Benin, Togo, and the Congo.

Funding for this venture will be provided by ANA through one of several government or private sources that they are currently reviewing, and is expected to be finalized by mid-September, 2011. The company expects to complete formal purchase documentation by early 2012 and to complete installation of the two units in the second quarter of 2012.

About Sionix Corporation
Sionix designs innovative and advanced Mobile Water Treatment Systems (MWTS) intended for use in energy, government facilities, healthcare facilities, emergency water supplies during natural disasters, housing development projects, and various industrial processes including subterranean fracturing used in oil and gas drilling. These systems are located adjacent to contaminated water sites, thus reducing cost and toxic exposure, and can be used to remove organic materials including oil, waste and other infectious bacteria from contaminated resources. The Sionix MWTS can also be used as a pre-treatment for reverse osmosis and other membrane applications. Industries involved in dairy, agribusiness, meat processing, mining, poultry operations, and many others can benefit from Sionix' cost-effective, easily maintained, portable water treatment systems. About Sionix Technology
Using a patented dissolved air flotation (DAF) technology packaged in a mobile shipping container, air bubbles between the size of 1 and 2 microns are injected and float organic contaminants to the surface where 99.95% are skimmed off, and a majority of inorganic contaminants are also captured and removed. This compares to standard DAF units which historically have been limited to using bubble sizes of 50 microns or larger. The size of these bubbles is important because the smaller the bubble, the greater the surface tension. They can then hold together longer and elevate more organic contaminants to the surface for removal.
