Media Advisory/REMINDER: Welcome Hall Mission is Sending 2,200 Underprivileged Children Back-to-School with Heads Held High

10th Anniversary!!!

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Aug. 18, 2011) - On August 18th and 19th, Welcome Hall Mission is distributing 2,200 back-packs filled with school supplies to disadvantaged children during our annual Back-to-School with Heads Held High event.

In Montreal, 26% of children live below the poverty line. The effects of poverty have been linked to lower quality of health, income and education levels. Welcome Hall Mission is committed to caring for this vulnerable population. Providing underprivileged children with the tools they need to start the academic year off right encourages them to stay in school and improve their quality of life.

To mark this 10th anniversary, Welcome Hall Mission has prepared two full days of activities and entertainment around a western theme with pony rides, a saloon, musicians, face painting, games, snacks and many more surprises!
