Generali Deutschland is to implement the COR&FJA web-based claim settlement
system
(Leinfelden-Echterdingen, 18 August 2011) - Generali Deutschland
Schadenmanagement GmbH (GDSM, Cologne), the German insurance claims
management company that is part of the Generali Deutschland Group, will
rely in future on openClaimsAgency (oCA), the web-based standard software
solution provided by Metris GmbH, a subsidiary of COR&FJA, to assist its
representatives in regulating the settlement of claims. GDSM and COR&FJA
have agreed not to disclose the order value of the project.
The oCA standard software solution, the offline version of which has been
successfully deployed for many years by numerous renowned insurance
companies, has been fundamentally enhanced over the past few years,
particularly with regard to its web services. COR&FJA has now acquired GDSM
as its first customer for this revised system. COR&FJA has high
expectations that GDSM's decision will be regarded as an extremely positive
signal in the market, not least because, among other things,
system-supported, transaction-clinching regulation directly on-site means
that the responsible office administrator need not become involved in the
process again. This provides great advantages in processing, both for the
insured parties as well as for the insurer itself. In addition, no
competitive product with a similarly wide and sustainable range of
functions exists.
The Metris openClaims platform supports the entire claims process, from
registering the claim through to active claims management, payment and
closure of the claim. Each module on the openClaims platform can be applied
on its own. The individual modules also fit seamlessly together, however,
enabling insurers to achieve a high savings potential throughout the entire
claims management process. All of the components on the openClaims platform
will in future be marketed as additional modules within the COR.FJA
Insurance Suite.
As part of the openClaims platform, openClaimsAgency is the solution for
representatives responsible for regulating claims. The application provides
representatives out in the field with data online, for example via UMTS or
GPRS, whereby all of the required data is automatically exchanged between
the claims administration system (based on the openClaimsSystem, for
example) and the representatives. Here, too, the redundant acquisition of
data is no longer necessary, and the claims administration staff are able
to inform both the customer and the sales force at any time.
