Evisors Makes Expert Advice Accessible and Affordable

New Online Marketplace Connects Customers to Hundreds of Best-in-Class Admissions, Career and Business Advisors

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Aug 23, 2011) - Evisors, an online marketplace for expertise and advice, today announced that it has emerged from its Beta phase and officially launched Evisors.com. Founded in May 2010 by Harvard Business School graduates Fredrik Marø, Marc Weiner and Dan Levy and Wharton MBA graduate Christine Apold, Evisors allows consumers to go beyond their own personal and professional networks to search its expansive database of experienced experts and directly schedule consultations. Currently, Evisors has a growing network of nearly a thousand highly-qualified, carefully screened experts from a variety of backgrounds with unique, in-demand experience and skills. From CEOs and successful entrepreneurs, to professors and former admissions officers, Evisors' diverse library of experts hail from prestigious schools and organizations, representing more than a thousand companies across a wide range of industries.

"Evisors began with the idea that everyone should be able to pick the brain of an expert and receive one-on-one professional coaching and counseling; not just Fortune 500 companies with the resources to hire an expensive consultant," said Fredrik Marø, co-founder and CEO of Evisors. "As former management consultants ourselves, we saw an opportunity to level the playing field and give everyone access to the advice and expertise they need to be successful, especially when their own networks such as LinkedIn and Facebook fail them."

Evisors' experts are organized broadly into three categories: admissions, business and career experts, and offer advice and an inside track on a wide range of subject matters, including industry expertise, entrepreneurship, job hunting strategies, interview practice, resume and cover letter help, business consulting and career management, as well as college, law and business school admissions. To find an expert, customers can use Evisors' simple search interface to identify relevant experts, view their profiles and evaluate them by their qualifications, reviews, ratings, availability and hourly rate. Once they have selected an expert, they can schedule a phone consultation or submit an email query. Experts set their own rates, which range from $30 to more than $500 per consultation depending on the length of the session, the expert's education level, career background and experience.

In addition to individuals directly hiring Evisors' expert advisors, a growing number of universities, including Cambridge, Oxford, McGill, Babson and Boston College, are using Evisors to connect their students and graduates to a rich and diverse group of career experts for relevant advice from resume and interview help to strategic job search assistance. Evisors also has affiliate partners that host Evisors widgets to showcase targeted experts and earn a referral fee for consultations sold. Current affiliates include WetFeet.com, a website aimed at equipping job seekers with the advice, research and inspiration needed to achieve a successful career, and Glassdoor.com a major company review website featuring salary details, company reviews and interview questions.

Evisors continues to add additional experts, affiliates and university partners. The official launch of Evisors.com marks the next phase in Evisors' growth. In July, Evisors closed its seed fundraising round with lead investor Nebula Ventures and a group of angel investors including members of New York Angels. This fall Evisors will launch a new white label solution for companies and organizations.
