MEDIA ADVISORY: MCSC and RCMP to Hold Press Conference on Lindsey Nicholls' Disappearance Case

COURTENAY, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 7, 2011) -

The Comox Valley RCMP Detachment and the Missing Children Society of Canada will be holding a joint press conference on the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Lindsey Nicholls.

Lindsey disappeared on August 2, 1993 at the young age of 14 years old. She was last seen walking down a country road near Courtenay. The press conference is scheduled for September 12th – Lindsey's 33rd birthday.

Representatives from the RCMP and MCSC will discuss the ongoing investigations into Lindsey's disappearance. Lindsey's mother, Judy Peterson, will also be in attendance to speak to her family's journey.

MCSC will showcase a live demonstration of a ground-breaking new technology in the search for missing children. The demonstration will mark the first-ever use of this new technology.

General public and community partners are welcome to attend.
