Flag to Commemorate Lives Lost During 9/11 Tragedy


FORT MYER, VA--(Marketwire - Sep 8, 2011) - The Army and Air Force Mutual Aid Association (AAFMAA) today announced it will unveil a field-sized flag at the Air Force versus Texas Christian University (TCU) NCAA football game on September 10, 2011. The flag, 160 feet by 300 feet, will be unfurled by U.S. Air Force Academy cadets at halftime and accompanied by the Academy's Drum and Bugle Corps, and choir in memory of the lives lost during the September 11, 2001 tragedy.

The Flag Commemoration Ceremony at halftime follows the unveiling of the Super Flag at Fort Carson on September 9, 2011.
