Media Advisory: Minister MacKay Announces Position of Lieutenant Governor of Ontario to Receive Historic Military Appointment in Perpetuity
TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 9, 2011) - A ceremonial parade to celebrate the investiture of the office of Lieutenant-Governor as the Colonel of the Regiment of The Queen's York Rangers, a reconnaissance unit of the Canadian Army, will be held at Historic Fort York on Saturday, September 10 at 2:00 p.m. (see complete story in DND News Release, same title, today's date).
