Amy Mielke Elected Marketing Chair of Connecticut Women Artists

Two-Year Term Will Help Promote the Group, Its Work, and Its Community Influence

WESTBROOK, CT--(Marketwire - Sep 27, 2011) - Amy Mielke, Strategic Advisor at O'Brien Communications Group (OCG), has been elected Marketing Chair of Connecticut Women Artists, Inc. (CWA). The group elected its 2011-2013 slate of officers and Council Members at its annual dinner meeting at the Copper Beach Inn in Ivoryton, CT, on September 22. Ms. Mielke also sits on CWA's Council.

"It's an honor to help CWA market its work to a larger audience," said Ms. Mielke. "Beyond wanting to promote our work and our members, it's also an opportunity for others to be exposed to art and its capacity to bring joy and healing to people. All of us in CWA hope to touch others with our work."

"Amy's become a kind of torchbearer for OCG's pushing of its boundaries," said Mark O'Brien, principal of O'Brien Communications Group. "Her work and her spirit are inspiring reminders that all of us are parts of larger communities, that the world is bettered when we serve interests other than our own. It's no surprise that Amy's gifts and talents continue to be recognized. Our pride is equaled only by our admiration."
