MARKSVILLE, La., Sept. 30, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Please join representatives from IBERIABANK, Red River Bank, The Cottonport Bank, and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) as they award $23,098 in Partnership Grant Program (PGP) funds to Cenla Tunica-Biloxi Housing, Inc.
Cenla Tunica-Biloxi Housing. Inc. will use the PGP funds to purchase equipment for a new day care center to serve employees of businesses on the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe's Reservation, as well as residents of Avoyelles Parish and the surrounding communities.
Through the PGP, FHLB Dallas awards partnership grants through its member institutions to provide funding for the operational needs of community-based organizations involved in affordable housing and community development. FHLB Dallas matches a member's cash contributions to a community-based organization of $500 up to $5,000 at a 3:1 ratio. Through its member institutions, FHLB Dallas awarded $225,000 in partnership grants in 2011.
In addition to the donations from the financial institutions, Paragon Casino Resort contributed an additional $5,000 toward the day care center project.
Representatives from the banks will participate in a short check presentation, and will be available for interviews and photo opportunities before and after the event.
