BETHESDA, Md., Oct. 19, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- EagleBank today announced that it has executed a lease, subject to regulatory approval, for a new branch in Merrifield, Virginia. The branch will be located in the Mosaic District, a mixed-use project—retail, commercial, hospitality and residential development—off Gallows Road and Lee Highway.
Expected to open in late 2012, the new full-service EagleBank branch will offer a night drop, an ATM, and a full array of lending, cash management and online banking services for both business and retail customers. This new location will mark EagleBank's 5th Northern Virginia location, joining existing branches in Tysons Corner, Ballston and Rosslyn, and a planned branch in Reston. When opened, the Merrifield branch will be EagleBank's 17th location throughout the Metro Washington, DC area.
"We are excited about our new branch location in Fairfax County and embrace the opportunity to continue to grow organically in Northern Virginia," commented President of Community Banking Thomas D. Murphy. "Our branch in the Mosaic District—the "hot spot" for Merrifield and the surrounding area—will provide additional convenience to many customers who already bank with us. We also look forward to meeting new neighbors and introducing them to our professional banking team, our products and services and our reputation for delivering extraordinary customer service."
