Release of a notification of Voting Rights pursuant to § 26 para. 1 WpHG

November 2011

Allianz Global Investors Kapitalanlagegesellschaft mbH, Frankfurt am Main,
Germany informed us pursuant to section 21 para. 1 sentence 1 WpHG that on
01.11.2011 the voting rights of Allianz Global Investors
Kapitalanlagegesellschaft mbH in LANXESS AG, Chemiepark Leverkusen, Gebäude
K10, D - 51369 Leverkusen, Germany exceeded the threshold of 3% and amount
to 3.02 % (2,516,227 voting rights of a total of 83,202,670 voting rights).

Of this share in voting rights, 0.50 % of the total amount of voting rights
(this corresponds to 418,538 of a total of 83,202,670 voting rights) are
attributed pursuant to section 22 para. 1 sentence 1 no. 6 WpHG.

No voting rights were acquired pursuant to section 17 para. 1 no. 7 WpAIV.
