FALLS CHURCH, VA--(Marketwire - Nov 10, 2011) - In its continuing effort to give back to the local community, the Fairview Park Marriott adopted the Graham Road Elementary School in Falls Church. The Northern, VA hotel hosted a school supply drive for the 406-student school, it was announced by Terry Duvall, general manager.
According to Mr. Duvall, the associates at the Fairview Park Marriott held a one-month supply drive through a contest within the Falls Church, Virginia hotel. "Our associates were incredibly committed to this cause and as such collected approximately $2,000 worth of supplies," notes Mr. Duvall.
The Graham Road Elementary School was recently presented a delivery of a wide variety of school supplies including crayons, pencils, pens, folders, markers, spiral notebooks, glue sticks, rulers, composition books, paper clips, binder clips, glue bottles, pencil sharpeners, construction paper, filler paper, binders, index cards, book covers, Scotch tape, pencil boxes, Kleenex, Post-It pads, scissors, backpacks, sanitizer, staples, dry erasers, Ziploc bags, index tabs, binder dividers, and more.
According to Terry J. Dade, principal of the Graham Road Elementary School, "We appreciate the Fairview Park Marriott coordinating the school supply drive for Graham Road Elementary. This generous gift will allow the school to support our families who cannot provide supplies for their child."
