Cappuccino Musical Theatre Exposes Teenage Struggles With bare Production

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Nov. 16, 2011) - Teen sex, drinking, religion and sexuality – just a few of the topics discussed in bare, the latest production by Cappuccino Musical Theatre. Running Nov. 25th - Dec. 3rd, 2011 in the Victor Mitchell Theatre at Pumphouse Theatres, bare breaks down boundaries and gets to the heart of the many struggles facing today's teenager.

bare is a coming-of-age story of a group of high school seniors at a Catholic boarding school facing issues of sexuality and personal identity. As they struggle to come to terms with who they are, and who the world thinks they should be, they seek answers from their Church, their friends, and ultimately, from within themselves. Will the world accept them? Will they accept themselves?

"bare blows up the issues of a modern teenager," said Jaime Eastgaard-Ross, Director of Calgary's bare, "The play is an honest portrayal of a teenager's need and desire to break down societal boundaries."

With its rich, vibrant pop-rock score, strong characters and hilarious yet heart-wrenching story, bare is not to be missed.

Tickets are available for $25, or $20 for seniors and students, through the Pumphouse box office at (403) 263-0079 or online at www.pumphousetheatres.ca.
