BOISBRIAND, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Nov. 17, 2011) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that the firm Équipements Électro-Médicaux Économec Inc. has been awarded $90,250 in repayable funding to expand its presence in the United States.
"The Government of Canada is pleased to lend its support to the firm Équipements Électro-Médicaux Économec Inc. because its project will help boost the visibility of Canadian technological know-how in the world," said Minister Lebel.
Équipements Électro-Médicaux Économec Inc. manufactures, for hospitals and clinics, medical gas distribution apparatus equipped with pressure, temperature and gas flow controls. Founded in 1993, this innovative company commercializes its products under the name Medical Design.
This financial assistance has been awarded through Canada Economic Development's Business and Regional Growth program. The firm's project will also help to strengthen and further the growth of the life sciences sector, considered a priority for the Laurentides region.
