HONOLULU, HI--(Marketwire - Nov 21, 2011) - Just in time for Black Friday, Cyber Monday and the entire holiday shopping season, AAA Hawaii has launched AAA Club Rewards -- a free online shopping program for members that provides significant savings at more than 30,000 participating merchants, along with daily deals and points that can be redeemed for money off future purchases.

Hawaii is one of only four states in the U.S. that currently has the Club Rewards program available to its AAA members.

AAA Club Rewards includes websites of well-known brands like Macy's, Best Buy, Toys R Us, The Home Depot and thousands of other sites where holiday shoppers would normally make online purchases. By accessing those online retailers through the AAA Club Rewards website, members will receive discounts and the opportunity to earn points that will save them even more money on future purchases.

Access is free to AAA members. Just visit AAA.com/ClubRewards, log in with your AAA username and password, and start shopping.

"The AAA Club Rewards program provides members with discounts at thousands of additional retailers during a time when many consumers are looking to get the most out of their holiday shopping budgets," said Denise Bialek, AAA Hawaii unit manager of member value programs. "Hundreds of discounts are available every day online, by phone and sometimes in-store via a printed coupon.

"We expect AAA Club Rewards merchants to be offering hundreds of special deals to our members on the two busiest days of holiday shopping -- the Friday and the Monday after Thanksgiving," Bialek added.

Most purchases made through AAA Club Rewards will earn members "WOWPoints," a virtual shopping currency. The majority of merchants will give at least one WOWPoint for each dollar spent, with many of them giving two, four or more times the WOWPoints per dollar spent. One hundred "WOWPoints" equals $1 and members can start burning their points with as little as $2 (200 WOWPoints).

WOWPoints can be redeemed for any merchandise or gift certificate offered through AAA Club Rewards. "Unlike other rewards or miles programs, WOWPoints are free of restrictions and blackout dates," Bialek said.

Members can even buy local restaurant gift certificates or order local delivery food via the program and earn WOWPoints at the same time.

In addition to regular savings, merchants with AAA Club Rewards will also offer special limited-time or one-day deals that will be displayed on the website.
