ATCO an Official Sponsor of Lake Louise Winterstart World Cup

Exclusive supplier of modular buildings to support international ski races

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Nov. 21, 2011) - The world's best skiers will be using modular buildings from ATCO Structures & Logistics (ATCO) to help achieve their top performances at the upcoming Winterstart World Cup ski races at Lake Louise, Alta. ATCO today announced it has signed an agreement with Winterstart Events Ltd., as exclusive supplier of modular buildings for the races.

Most of the 16 portable buildings supplied by ATCO, will be used as ski wax huts. The wax huts provide a comfortable, climate-controlled environment for technicians to prepare the racers' skis for optimum performance, a critical component to achieve top speeds. A first-aid facility, media workroom and communications centre will also be supplied.

"ATCO has a strong tradition of supporting major sporting events in Canada and the Winterstart World Cup is our opportunity to supply the circuit's top skiers with the resources to perform their best," said George Lidgett, Executive Vice President, ATCO Structures & Logistics. "We're excited to sponsor the Lake Louise races and promote the strong performances of Canadian athletes."

Since 2007, ATCO has sponsored the Lake Louise Winterstart World Cup, Canada's highest-profile alpine ski race and the first World Cup speed event of the season. The downhill and super-G events provide Canadian skiers with their only opportunity to win a World Cup event at home. The men will race Nov. 26-27 and the women Dec. 2-4.
