Daxor Announces That Harborview Medical Center of Seattle, WA Acquires BVA-100 Blood Volume Analyzer


NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Nov 22, 2011) - Daxor Corporation (NYSE Amex: DXR), a medical instrumentation and biotechnology company, today announced the receipt of a signed trial agreement from the Harborview Medical Center of Seattle, Washington. This agreement will provide the Harborview Medical Center with a Blood Volume Analyzer-100 (BVA-100), an instrument which enables semi-automated measurement of a patient's total blood volume, red blood cell volume and plasma volume. Blood volume abnormalities are observed in a variety of cardiac conditions and have been associated with poor prognosis.

The Harborview Medical Center is one of the nation's leading hospitals and the only Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma and burn center serving the Washington, Alaska, Montana and Idaho region (WAMI). The medical center offers highly specialized services such as trauma and burn care, as well as neurosurgery, eye care, vascular, rehabilitation, sleep medicine and spine care.
