Achievement Recognizes Company's Robust Worldwide Patent Portfolio

(Nasdaq:MIPS), a leading provider of industry-standard processor architectures and cores for digital home, networking and mobile applications, today announced that it has been included in the highly regarded Ocean Tomo 300® Patent Index (OT300), the industry's first index based on the value of corporate intellectual property. The OT300 represents a diversified portfolio of 300 companies that own the most valuable patents relative to their book value, and includes well-known names such as AT&T, Broadcom, Cisco Systems, General Electric, Microchip Technology, and Sprint Nextel.

MIPS Technologies holds a portfolio of more than 580 patent properties worldwide, including numerous patents for its unique hardware multi-threading technology, which were noted as highlights by Ocean Tomo.
