Acquires Two Acute Care Hospitalist Practices


NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Dec. 5, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- IPC The Hospitalist Company, Inc. (Nasdaq:IPCM), a leading national hospitalist physician group practice company, announced today that it has acquired Hospitalist Specialists, PLLC, headquartered in Spokane, Washington. Hospital Specialists operates practices in both Spokane and Coeur D'Alene, Idaho. The practices represent a combined annualized volume of approximately 40,000 patient encounters.
