The much-anticipated new store, located at 11865 South Dixie Highway, Miami, Florida 33156, comes after 23 successful years in Maurice's Jewelers' previous location and 76 years of successful family operation by the Koppel family. Cindy Lerner, the Mayor of Pinecrest, joined Heather J. Bettner, President of Prince Media Development producer of SmARTy Dogs for SmARTy Schools as well as Koppel family, which included wife of the late Maurice, Leah, son Andrew and his children Meaghan, Erin, Kierstin for the grand opening event. The ceremony marked the official opening of Maurice's Jewelers, and celebrated the company's community support in the SmARTy Dogs for SmART Schools campaign, an organization that helps raise funds for local public schools. Maurice's Jewelers sponsored the creation of one of the popular fiberglass dogs, designed by local celebrity artist Miguel Paredes, which now greets patrons as they arrive in the store.
