MEDL Mobile Brings Montessori to Mobile

App Provides Virtual Classroom Based on Highly Regarded Montessori Curriculum, Enabling Children, Parents and Tutors to Utilize Teachings Off-Campus

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Jan. 6, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MEDL Mobile, Inc. (OTCBB:MEDL), a leader in mobile apps development, announced today the launch of "Montessori Revolution," a mobile app based on the highly regarded Montessori educational method for children ages 2 ½ to 6. The app, which is available for iPads with iOS4 or greater, provides a virtual classroom with educational content from the Montessori curriculum, and allows parents and tutors the opportunity to apply Montessori principles to educate children anywhere! The app is available now in the Apple App Store.

The app was created by experts in the field of Montessori whose matriarch was personally trained by the Montessori method's originator, Dr. Maria Montessori. Guided by Dr. Montessori's philosophy as well as current best practices in education, our Montessori Family created the Montessori Revolution mobile app to enable parents, teachers and tutors to apply Montessori principles in settings such as off-campus tutoring, home schooling and during every day on the go activities. The app features dynamic, colorful and highly interactive exercises covering the five main areas of the Montessori curriculum: practical life including concentration, fine and gross motor skills development; sensorial materials for the development of cognitive skills; language; mathematics; and geography and cultural studies. The app also provides parents and teachers with tools for assessing how their child and student is progressing.

"Because Montessori is about respecting a child's independence, upholding a 'discovery' model where they learn concepts from working with materials rather than from direct instruction, and integrating society's technological advancements to further their education, creating a mobile app seemed to be a natural next step that is very aligned with the Montessori philosophy," said the Montessori Revolution Team. "Working with MEDL Mobile, our intention was to provide an extension of the classroom that is not only sophisticated and engaging, but a pure and true representation of the Montessori principles and approach. We're pleased we've accomplished just that."

"Other Montessori apps exist, but they don't have that "it" factor of authenticity of the Montessori tradition and offer the breadth of educational material that can only be envisioned by the Montessori Revolution Team because of their unique 50 year Montessori heritage," said Dave Swartz, MEDL Mobile co-founder and chief creative officer. "The end result delivers outstandingly on Montessori Revolution's vision and we're confident that many children, parents and teachers will benefit from it."

MEDL Mobile's patent-pending recommendation engine technology provides mobile users with statistically significant and intelligent app recommendations.  Recommendations are based on the user's "mobile lifestyle:" their mobile habits and interests based on hundreds of data points about that individual user. This powerful recommendation engine facilitates discovery of applications that users did not even know they would have an interest in, and prevents them from having to search for such apps, stimulating interest and engagement in new mobile apps.
