QUÉBEC CITY, QUÉBEC--(Marketwire - Jan. 17, 2012) - Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Quebec Region, has released a list of Magdalen Islands fishers fined in December 2011 for violations of the Fisheries Act.
The fines imposed on the offenders total $7,300. The offenders are:
|Exceeding the recreational groundfish fishery quota.||$300 each|
|Possession of lobsters under the minimum size.||$750 each|
|Being in possession of a female lobster with eggs attached.||$1,200 (W. B.)
